Easter FUN!!!

The bunny came!

Joey got a walker and looks pretty happy about it!

The bunny left the girls clues and Brynn found hers right away! ... had something to do about smoothies and she went right to the cabinet!

Brooky's was behind the curtain

Happy Easter!

Poor Joey :)

After the baskets it was time for the annual Easter Egg Hunt... first time in our new backyard!

Then we met up with some friends at their church and there were a bunch of fun activities for the kids to do

Egg roll!

Getting a picture of these 3 goofballs is SO hard these days. We took a million and finally gave up - this was one of the best ones. Still cute!

Happy 1st Easter little guy!!

Sisters being silly....

and then it was time to put the finishing touches on our bunny cake - before we dig in!

He only lasted 3 days this year. Yikes. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! XOXO

Our New Friend...

With so many Brooky pictures lately I wanted to put a few of Brynn - and our new friend, Ash. Unfortunately Jada is no longer with us and the timing with this new furry friend was sort of perfect and he looks just like Jada which seems like it was meant to be. Our neighbors couldn't keep him so he's now living with us. The girls love him and for the most part, he's a great cat and pretty mellow for being 4 months old.

He loves Brynn!
As I mentioned, the cat is pretty mellow! I think he's grateful for having such a happy home after living his first few weeks at a construction site... he tries to be on his best behavior for us!

and I love this picture of Brynn! She no way looks like she's only 4!

The Wheels On the Bus...

The day is finally here! Brooky has been waiting for this day for a long time - it's BUS DAY!!!! The bus picks her up at 8:40am right at our house. Here's a big good luck hug from her big sister before we headed outside!

Waiting for the bus... this is very exciting!

Here it comes! Brooky was jumping up and down!

I wanted to get a picture of her in front of the bus but once the bus actually got to us I think it freaked her out a bit. It was very big and really loud so she turned around and started walking to the house! I got her and she went on the bus no problem - but was not into a picture. Her drivers name in the morning is Ms Julie and Vanessa is the helper. She'll be on the bus with 3 other little boys.

She's home!!! Mr Steve is the driver in the afternoon and I didn't have a drop off time yet but was estimating around 12:15 or so... I ended up calling at 12:35pm when she wasn't home yet because I was starting to get worried since it was the first day and all - well Mr. Steve was 2 minutes away so all was good. Her drop off time will be 12:40pm. They said she did great and she actually fell asleep on the bus! He said most of them do - too cute!
She was much more pleasant in the afternoon than she usually is so I'm liking the cat nap on the bus! We were waiting outside with our neighbors to greet her - I guess seeing a school bus in the neighborhood is exciting for all because we were popular people today!

Big school girl! So cute! She couldn't wait to show me her backpack and take out the eggs that Ms. Becky gave her... they were filled with Brooky's favorite - CANDY!!

Here she is showing off her eggs

and trying to hide under the slide so she could eat ALL of her candy!

She came home with a bunch of crafts she had worked on (I'm guessing throughout the week). I think I'll need to start a special area in the garage for all of their artwork because I know I'm going to love it all! Sorry Bryce!! :)

When I asked her what she did in school today, the only thing I got out of her was that Ms Becky was the bunny and said "surprise" and they got eggs! Haha. Not sure if that's true but it sounds fun to me! All that I know is she's loving school. This girl who we have to fight with to keep clothes on actually changed her outfit this afternoon and wanted to go back to school right then. She even went to bed with her sneakers on! THAT is a first - she never wears shoes! I think this preschool routine is going to be great for her and all of us too.

Graduation Day for One, But First Day of School For the Other!

So Monday, March 23rd was Brooky's 1st Day of School. She's going to Mountain Shadows Elementary - preschool class #2 with Ms Becky. She was SO excited and the first thing she asked me that morning was if she was going to school and what time the bus was coming! She made sure to tell me a million times that she wanted to go by herself and we should stay home. Gotta love this little pistol. She will be taking the bus to and from school - first day is Thursday! Stay tuned for pics :)

When we were finished with her pictures, she said "alright, let's go!"

We got there early on the first day because the school nurse had to do her vision and hearing check and then we waited outside for her teachers and the rest of her class. There are 15 kids in her class and 4 teachers (including the speech teacher). We walked in with them to the classroom just this time...
Brooky was totally fine with us leaving, it was actually Brynn that got a little upset. Even after she told us on the way down to school that she was excited to be able to play alone without Brooky... Ahhh - sister love! We passed Brooke on the playground while walking to the car and she screamed, "Bye Mom!" Haha - bye baby girl, have fun!

We had picked up donuts for her as a surprise for when she got home... and we made smoothies - a Brooky request. She was so excited!

Brynn had a little celebration too for being the best big sister

and let's not forget about this handsome guy! He's been such a sport going along for the ride with the girls!
