| Our original plans were to head to the beach on Saturday but Brynn was up most of the night getting sick so we decided to keep things low key. SO.... Chickie had mentioned that there was a big tree right up the street and they were having a small "protest" at noon to help save the tree - she mentioned some people were going to "marry" the tree to help save it! (someone recently bought the lot right next to it and wanted to cut it down). Well - this is the tree. It is beautiful! How could someone cut it down?? The girls had so much fun climbing this tree every night at sunset. Brynn was feeling better so she made a quick sign and we headed up to our first "protest"! Lol. |

| We were in for quite a treat - and surprise! There were 2 girls dressed in wedding attire and they handed out flowers to all. They did a small ceremony in front of the tree and we all said vows to show our commitment. The celebration was complete with music, cake, lemonade and mimosas! Craziest thing we've ever been a part of... AND THEN...... |

| We were leaving (with lots of cake to take home of course) and the 2 brides saw the sign that read "Save the Tree"... They fell in love with the girls and asked if they could take a picture with them. We thanked them for the fun and went home. Well Grammy left to head to NJ the very next day and called us first thing on Monday almost crying because she couldn't believe what she just saw... The girls and this picture were on Channel 6 Action News in Philadelphia!!! How crazy is that?! THEN, we were at the beach later that day and the Mom of Alex (the baby I babysit) sent a text to ask if one of the girls Grandma's married a tree because she saw them on the news in AZ!!!! Then - later we found out they were on People Online! Crazy, small world!! |
