Less Than 2 Weeks Away....

and this crazy girl will be having her 2nd Birthday Party!!! I can't believe 2 years have gone by already. For our sake, we're hoping she got her "terrible 2's" over with in the first year! Haha... just kidding, we're of course ready for whatever comes our way.

Having fun trying to get a picture for her invitation!

and here it is! I better get my cookie recipes together SOON!

PUDDLES!!!

Something we don't see very much of here in the desert so when we get rain - we celebrate! This is outside of Brynn's school while we're waiting for her teacher!

Silly Sisters

This is how the girls usually are... Brooklyn attacking (hugging) Brynn or vise versa - and usually it's Brooklyn that has no pants on. No matter how many times you dress her, she will take off her pants, remove her diaper and redress in Brynn's clothes! Ahhh - it's a constant battle!

It rained for like 3 days straight this past weekend and for us, that was exciting! They were so excited to put boots on and use an umbrella so I let them have some fun outside!

As you can tell, the one umbrella still has the tag on it so they're not used very often! LOL

With all the noise in the house, Jada is the only one that has found a quiet, peaceful spot to take some deep breaths and enjoy the view! Smart cat - haha!

We Have a BIG Girl Now!

Saturday, November 16th was a big day in our house!!! Brynn's FIRST hair cut! I was a little sad but I knew eventually we would have to cut her hair and it really was getting WAY too long (as you can see!) We had a real life "Rapunzel" in our house!

We went to Cool Cuts for Kids! She did really well and really had fun - you wouldn't be able to tell from these pics though!

After we left the salon, Brynn and I did a few errands and I can't even tell you how many people stopped to compliment on her and her hair! It was so funny and ironic that she had just gotten a hair cut! It's still long, but looks so much better and they took almost 3 inches off! She was happy because she still wanted long hair. Picky already :)

She's also been so good about eating all of her vegetables, fruit, etc... all she wants to be lately is to be big like Mommy and Daddy! I just want to tell her to slow it down a bit...

In Case You Were Wondering...

She has had her list ready for Santa for quite some time now... someone's excited!! She doesn't ask for much does she?! It will be fun to see if she actually shares all of this with the big man himself when we go to sit on his lap!

Feeling Better!

Brynn hasn't been herself for 3 weeks now but I think we're finally back on track! She was sick first with the flu, then strep throat and then Tuesday had an allergic reaction to the penicillin. She broke out in an awful looking rash from head to toe and her little face was swollen too. So sad but very happy to see that she's coming around now! and her singing skills are too! :)

Since we haven't been able to play with friends in a while, Brynn has been getting sad. We went out yesterday to get the new SPARKLY shoes that she's been wanting! Her feet grew 2 sizes in 2 months! Brooklyn picked out the red "Dorothy" shoes... "There's no place like home!" - she has some pretty good jumping skills too!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

So today is Dad's birthday and to honor him and celebrate his wonderful life, we went out and got balloons to send up to him in heaven. The girls each got to pick out 2 colors... and I picked out 2 for Bryce and I.

When we got home we spent some time decorating our balloons and talking about Pop Pop. We covered them with stickers showing many of his favorite things... birds, dogs, deer, ducks, squirrels (I know deep down he loved the squirrels!) - pretty much all nature stickers. This was a lot of fun and was really nice talking about him with the girls.

Then at 11:11am, - his birthday time and right about the time Mom, Col & Kristin were going to be at the cemetary, we went outside to send the balloons up to Pop Pop. Brynn wanted me to help her to let go of hers... she wasn't so sure what to expect (they had 3 extra balloons inside for them to play with later).

There they go!

They loved this part and Brynn was saying, "Happy Birthday Pop Pop!"

Waving bye bye to the balloons!

Call me crazy, but ever since Dad passed away I've been finding hearts in my food! It may be just coincidence, or maybe I just never noticed them before, but it sure is comforting and I love it. Here's a heart in our chicken enchiladas!

One in my toast

and just today while I was making lunch for the girls and peeling their apple, one showed up!!! It makes me smile because things like this just don't happen by coincidence. I know he's with us and I love that he gives us little signs all the time. I love you Dad and we miss you every second of every day! Happy Birthday!! xoxo

Happy Halloween!

Well we have one princess ready to go!

The other one wanted to wear her birthday suit and carry her pumpkin bag.

We finally got her in her dress and were ready to go!

Trick or treat! Brynn was really good about saying trick or treat each time... Brooklyn just walked right up, opened her bag and then waived goodbye!

Daddy and his princesses. Bryce was a good sport for wearing his king hat around the block!

If you look closely you'll see that Brooklyn carried all of her lollipops in her hand. They were here favorite and they weren't going in the pumpkin bag!

I think she ate about 10 "suckers" that night!

Another sucker!

The Royal Family! Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving 2013!

The girls were NOT into cleaning out the pumpkins this year. Brynn was not feeling well so maybe that didn't help our cause, but we still tried!

She's crying here because she got a pumpkin seed on her leg

Watching Daddy do all the work!

Brooklyn disappeared and found the candy!! She would never stray too far with bags of candy around!

I hid a surprise inside the pumpkin... I had to bribe them this year to stick their hands inside!

Pumpkin Carving Contest 2013

This picture is funny! Brynn wanted nothing to do with my camera. Poor girl was sick this year and didn't want to be messed with!
