I know I just updated the blog, but I had to write something tonight in case I forget to tell all of you the next time we talk. These 2 little girls are the BEST ever. No matter how hard each day can get, they never fail to surprise me with even the smallest thing and I can't stop smiling, laughing and sometimes feeling like I even want to cry because I'm so happy (& we all know I'm a crier!) Tonight was no different... we just finished dinner and both girls were getting a little loud so I put Brooklyn in the carrier pack and Brynn grabbed a purse, her baby and the stroller and we headed out for a walk. We made it to the end of our street and the entire time Brynn was whining non-stop and I couldn't figure out what was up. Well when we got to the end, she picked her baby up, cradled her in her arms (along with her purse) and swayed back and forth trying to soothe her. The baby was crying - that was all that noise... of course silly Mommy, why didn't I know that?! I can't believe her imagination and she is completely serious during this whole ordeal, I can't help but smile. Once we got the baby settled, she proceeded to carry the baby (since she wasn't happy in the stroller), the purse and push the stroller at the same time - she was working so hard and even though she didn't have any free hands, she made sure to stop and wave and blow kisses to everyone we passed along the way and everyone that was driving down the street or pulling out of the driveway. When we got to the next corner, "Grandma Shirley" and "Grandpa Rip" were outside and so excited to see them. They are in love with these 2 girls, they even invited us to their home in Flagstaff this summer. Brynn was full of hugs and Shirley was helping her put the diaper back on her baby. Brynn was pointing out all the birds and helicopters to Rip... I really think we made their night, they invited us to come inside the next time and visit for a while! So cute. As we were walking home, I couldn't stop smiling and feeling so grateful to have these girls in my life. They remind me to live with a sparkle in my eye, see everything as if it's the first time I've ever seen it before (which in reality it is since every second of our life is new and has never happened before) and most importantly, never be too busy or have my hands too full to not be able to say hello, wave to someone down the street and/or pick up the phone and catch up with a loved one or friend! |
