Happy Memorial Day!

I can never find any parades out here for Memorial Day, so we made our own! The Johnson bike parade around the neighborhood!

So cute!

Of course this one wasn't about to follow rules and stay on the sidewalk so she went right down the middle of the street... we were right by her of course. Always making her own path to follow!

Then we had a pool party, ate watermelon, grilled burgers and had a great family day!

and to top it off, the girls made red, white & blue dessert - yum! Brooklyn looks like she's about to dig in to Brynn's cup, but Brynn knows her style and is giving her that look... "don't even think about it"!

Fun in the SUN!

Getting ready for some water balloon fun!!

Brynn LOVED this! She wanted to do it all morning. We did 3 rounds and that was enough!

Daddy doesn't know it yet, but we were practicing for our water balloon toss competition on Monday. I think Brooky has a few things up her sleeve. Watch out for her... in more ways than one! She started biting today too - guess she needed to add another trait to her ongoing list!

She bit a hole in her balloon and this was right up her alley!

They had fun... and that took up about 30 minutes of our morning! :) Have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!

Cuteness!

I was able to sneak up on them and catch a moment of sweetness between these two! They're working on their Seek & Find books together.

Firefighter in Training!

Give Brooky a hose and she's a happy girl! Our little firefighter in training!

Sleeping Beauties!

Two little sleeping beauties! And if you're able to see the time on the clock by Brooklyn - it's only 6:50pm something!! No naps during the day make for some LONG days, but the early to bed without a fight is pretty nice!

Sweet dreams little ones!

A Quick Update...

Here's a variety of pics from the past few weeks... sorry I've been slacking with the new posts! This one's the crazy kid running around with the tunnel!

Our very own "Elsa & Anna" from Frozen of course. I have to wake up an hour early now to get their hair styled just right :)

It's starting to get hot out now so we've brought the slide IN a few times for some fun. The slide is currently not in use because they have been little daredevils on it... going down backwards, trying to walk down, etc... The fun ended with an injury to Brooklyn (of course!) so we put it away for a while and hopefully they learned their lesson the hard way!

The girls SO excited to see Daddy after a trip to CA!

Brooklyn has been starting to give up her naps - yikes - so we've been resorting to "quiet time". Quiet is not a word in her vocabulary yet, so on this day she destroyed her room, shut her door and went to bed!

Happy Mother's Day to both of our Moms!! We love you so much and hope you had a wonderful day - can't wait to see you soon!! Thanks to Bryce and these girls for making me a Mama... the best job in the world! (even after Brooky decided that her gift to us would be one of her most challenging days yet!) Haha - still wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my family!!

Happy Easter!

The night before Easter... the bunny was busy!

Sunday is always "Cinnamon Roll Sunday" for the girls (I always miss it because I'm working), but this Sunday I put Bryce to the challenge: Bunny Cinnamon Rolls. He didn't disappoint!

We started the day off with an Easter egg hunt outside. Brynn had spotted quite a few eggs right when she woke up at 5:30am!

Brooky just woke up here. She looks like you don't want to come between her and her eggs!

She found the golden egg!!

Still showing the golden egg off!

and then I did my best to get a good picture of the two of them in their dresses. This was NOT an easy task - we tried all throughout the day.

You get one smiling and not the other! Brynn knows when I get the camera and she chooses to look everywhere but at me!

Checking out what's in the eggs.

Next it was time to find the baskets. The bunny had left a note and gave them each a little clue as to where they could find their baskets. Brynn's was in the kitchen. Check out her face!

Brooky's was in the pantry - her favorite place!

She found her baby doll and took off! Who cares what else is in that basket!

She's in love!

Happy girl!

Happy Girl #2

FROZEN girl! She was in heaven. She still has not put these dolls down - or changed! unless into her Elsa shirt!

Trying once more for a good shot!

Happy Easter!! We love you!
