Brooklyn's 16 Months!!!!

Brooklyn turned 16 months this past Saturday, April 13th , but trying to get a picture of her when she doesn't have food in her hair or running past you at a high rate of speed is not the easiest thing! I took some pictures of her yesterday while she was modeling her Dora hat and was so shocked that she kept it on! The girls love Dora these days!! Here she is playing with Daddy outside...

So dramatic!

and then we had to stop the fun for her to show us her boo boo. I'm pretty sure she was saying "boo boo" as well! She has a big long scratch on her leg from doing laps all around the perimeter of the yard with Brynn (one of their favorite adventures). Check out the expression on her face... maybe she'll be in acting - she's pretty good at it!

"Can you see it better if I hold my leg up like this?!"

This is her sad face... she usually just uses one hand, but 2 gets more sympathy votes!

Sportin her Dora hat... she cracks me up, one pant leg up, one down - that's how she rolls.

Happy 16 Months to YOU!!! It's hard to believe that when Brynn was this age, she was meeting her little sister!  Brooklyn is still our little firecracker... she's starting to be a lot more vocal and trying to tell us what she wants. She loves pointing to all the airplanes, she says "bye", waves & blows kisses. She also gives real kisses now instead of her head butts but just beware... she may sneak in and pinch your face as soon as she's done! She loves to climb, do somersaults and go down the slides all by herself at the park... even if they're 15 feet high. She eats most everything and loves most everything except for swings and eggs. She cracks us up with new things everyday and the looks on her face can either want to make you cry from cuteness or make you cry and run away from being afraid! She is very determined and has quite the temper - especially if you tell her no. She has also been doing much better with sleeping at night - yay! (hopefully I didn't just jinx us)... She definitely keeps us on our toes and adds that bit of spunk to our family - we love her to pieces!

ROAR!!! A Girls Day At the ZOO!

The girls and I tackled the zoo solo last week since Daddy had to leave town for work. The day went much better than I had expected and we had lots of fun. I didn't know before heading down there that it was going to be SO windy that day... we were exhausted by the time it was time to go home (at least I was!!)

The tiger came right over to see us

The girls loved looking at the animals

The rhino! Usually he's sleeping every time I've been to the zoo but this time he was walking around and all of a sudden did a BIG poop. I think that was one of the highlights of Brynn's day - she loved talking about the "big poop"!

They loved the petting zoo!

Time to milk the cow

After visiting all of the animals, we stopped at the Little People's Playground for some fun and a snack. Brooklyn loves the slide. She goes up the stairs and down the slide all by herself! She also likes to try to go up the slide and down the stairs... of course!

Time for a picnic!

The zoo was a success!

Definite success!

We're Back!

We've been really busy around here the past few weeks despite the fact that you haven't seen any pictures of us in action - I'm sorry!!! I know I take a lot of pictures, but believe it or not, there are some Moms who take even more! All of these great shots were taken by one of the Moms in one of our play groups. We met up with a bunch of kids at the park and these pictures just show the excitement! The girls LOVE the park these days. Brynn walks around saying, "pok, pok - BIG pok"... that's all she wants to do!

Brynn and her friend Betsy. Brynn is only 3 months older than her and she towers over Betsy!

Yes, Brooklyn is smooshed in between us here! You can't see but she is smiling. This slide was HUGE! I'm guessing at least 20-25 feet high. I was afraid to come down but the girls got up there somehow, so we had to come down!

Easter 2013

Easter Eve... decorating eggs! Auntie Col had sent out an egg pincher type thing and Brynn did really well with it. She was a pro! Brooklyn kept busy coloring herself with her frozen ice pops!

So proud!

Pretty eggs!

Easter morning... the bunny was busy!

Easter morning started very early and was in full swing by 5:45am... I guess they're training us for this Christmas - we better try to go to bed earlier! Here's Brynn checking out her loot!

Playing with her new fish puzzle from the Bunny

So many fun things to discover!

Ice cream cones and a bunny cup!

Brynn looking like she's 6 years old here...

Ok, enough with the baskets... let's get the eggs!

Brooklyn found the chalk

There's an egg!

"I see it, I see it" - here I come!

Is there anything good in here?!

A basket full of eggs = SUCCESS

Finding a quiet place away from her sister to see what she got

The peace didn't last for long. Brooklyn opened the eggs as fast as she got her hands on them and devoured jelly beans. Look at her face! She wore 3 dresses throughout the day. Good thing their "real" Easter dresses didn't get dirty!

After our egg hunt, Brynn filled in her jelly bean chart - matching up all the colors.

Then we made our famous BUNNY CAKE!!! (he had a few extra jelly beans this year!)

Another dress...

Brooklyn can be in the worst mood, but when Barney comes on TV - everything stops. She stands at full attention and watches her idol :-)

Giving us that "Brooklyn look" but her dress is so cute!
Time for BUNNY CAKE!!! Mommy & Daddy were way too full  to eat anything else, but the girls weren't passing this up. Brynn thinks it's hysterical because Brooklyn gets more in her hair than in her mouth! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!! We love you.

Doing a Little Work...

It took her literally a second to get up in my chair and start posting things on Facebook!

Uh Oh...

I knew it wouldn't be too long before Brooklyn was climbing on the chairs!
