Sea Life Aquarium

On Thursday we decided to head town to Tempe to check out the Sea Life Aquarium inside of AZ Mills Mall... it was  really fun and they had a ton to see!

Saying hello to Mr Puffer fish!

Brooklyn petting the starfish

Peaking at the fish!

This room was so neat... it was surrounded by fish so the girls had a blast watching them go around and around...

After the aquarium, we had lunch at Capriotti's... one of Allison's favorites! I had no idea we had one here in AZ but it was delicious!!!

Brooklyn liked it so much she ended up getting sick because she wanted to put all the pieces in her mouth at once!!

Final stop: Rita's Water Ice! We went to visit Dru - this is his store and Allison used to babysit him when he was  younger!

Pump It Up!

We decided to get out of the house on Wednesday for a bit and go JUMP! We had the place to ourselves for almost 2 hours... it was a blast!

Whee! (Brooklyn doesn't look too thrilled but she did like it!)

Trying out the cars...

Goofball!

Here we go!!!

Chasing Auntie Allison! We were all ready for naps when we left...

Monday...

This is Brooklyn's new mode of transportation. We call her the "booster butt". She loves being strapped in it and walking around. To me it seems like it would be a lot of extra work, but I think she likes having a seat attached to her so whenever she's tired, she just plops right down to relax! She's a nut.

On Monday, Jess had to go home so we took the next few days to just rest at home and take it easy...

It was starting to get warmer, so the girls jumped at the chance to play outside...

Not the most attractive picture but here is Miss Brooklyn at her finest... the booster strapped to her butt, her barrette yanked out of her hair and a mouth full of dirt, yuk! She keeps us busy! I love how she's looking at me like, "What? Is something wrong?!"

We decided to give them baths in the sink - they loved it! and Allison and I had a glass of wine, so we loved it too! (Made washing the floor after the bath splashing that much better!!)

A MUCH NEEDED Girls Day (or afternoon at least!)

On Sunday we went to the Phoenician for a delicious brunch with the girls... the "big" girls! We had so much fun and it was so nice to catch up and be able to actually have a full conversation for once. The food, the scenery and the company could not have been better and a huge THANK YOU to Nancy, Allison's Mom, for treating us to such a special day!! We love you!

Is your mouth watering yet?! They were SO good!

Paradise in a picture...

"A friend is one of the nicest things you can ever have, and one of the best things you can ever be" ... XOXO

A Day at the Races...

I had to work on Saturday morning but as soon as I got home, we headed out to Turf Paradise for some lunch and fun. Here we are before leaving... Bryce must be in heaven with all these girls around him! Haha

There they go!

Unfortunately Brooklyn didn't last too long so she went home with Daddy for a nap. Brynn got to stay and hang out with the big girls for the afternoon!

Outside by the Winner's Circle...

Love my girls!

That night we had Auntie Allison's famous "pizza on the grill" ... it was delicious! We had a few rookies in the bunch but our pizza's still came out great!

Delicious!

The Girls Come to Visit!! (& brought the east coast weather with them!)

So my best friends, Allison & Jess, came to visit us (from NJ) - looking for some warmer weather and sunshine and what did they get?! SNOW - yes... they flew in during a snowstorm. A small one of course, but so crazy!! This is Salt River Fields where the Diamondbacks play during Spring Training. They weren't playing baseball on this day! It was FREEZING!

We didn't have snow at our house, but lots of hail. On the way down to the airport, the freeway was covered in snow - it was the strangest thing to see!

After we thawed out... and enjoyed a mexican taco feast on their first night, we headed to McCormick Stillman Railroad Park the next day. Even though it was still chilly, it was lots of fun and the girls had a blast. There is so much to do at this park.

Having fun on the slide

Walking with Auntie Jess...

Brynn spotted the carousel as soon as we got there so of course that was on the list to do. They loved it!

I wasn't sure if Brooklyn would be able to sit still long enough but Auntie Allison kept her under control, she had fun!

A quick picnic snack before riding the train!

Choo choo!!! (and part of a sandwich went along for the ride as well - Brooklyn kept busy feeding most of hers to the birds!)

Back at home after a fun day!!
