A MUCH NEEDED Girls Day (or afternoon at least!)

On Sunday we went to the Phoenician for a delicious brunch with the girls... the "big" girls! We had so much fun and it was so nice to catch up and be able to actually have a full conversation for once. The food, the scenery and the company could not have been better and a huge THANK YOU to Nancy, Allison's Mom, for treating us to such a special day!! We love you!

Is your mouth watering yet?! They were SO good!

Paradise in a picture...

"A friend is one of the nicest things you can ever have, and one of the best things you can ever be" ... XOXO

A Day at the Races...

I had to work on Saturday morning but as soon as I got home, we headed out to Turf Paradise for some lunch and fun. Here we are before leaving... Bryce must be in heaven with all these girls around him! Haha

There they go!

Unfortunately Brooklyn didn't last too long so she went home with Daddy for a nap. Brynn got to stay and hang out with the big girls for the afternoon!

Outside by the Winner's Circle...

Love my girls!

That night we had Auntie Allison's famous "pizza on the grill" ... it was delicious! We had a few rookies in the bunch but our pizza's still came out great!

Delicious!

The Girls Come to Visit!! (& brought the east coast weather with them!)

So my best friends, Allison & Jess, came to visit us (from NJ) - looking for some warmer weather and sunshine and what did they get?! SNOW - yes... they flew in during a snowstorm. A small one of course, but so crazy!! This is Salt River Fields where the Diamondbacks play during Spring Training. They weren't playing baseball on this day! It was FREEZING!

We didn't have snow at our house, but lots of hail. On the way down to the airport, the freeway was covered in snow - it was the strangest thing to see!

After we thawed out... and enjoyed a mexican taco feast on their first night, we headed to McCormick Stillman Railroad Park the next day. Even though it was still chilly, it was lots of fun and the girls had a blast. There is so much to do at this park.

Having fun on the slide

Walking with Auntie Jess...

Brynn spotted the carousel as soon as we got there so of course that was on the list to do. They loved it!

I wasn't sure if Brooklyn would be able to sit still long enough but Auntie Allison kept her under control, she had fun!

A quick picnic snack before riding the train!

Choo choo!!! (and part of a sandwich went along for the ride as well - Brooklyn kept busy feeding most of hers to the birds!)

Back at home after a fun day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day from our little Love Bugs... and Bryce and I as well, but the girls take cuter pictures! We hope your day is full of love. Be around the people you love & do whatever you love and all the things that make you happy!
 Here's a glimpse back...
LAST year...

THIS year... I knew Brooklyn would get even for that nose pinching!

A Dairy Queen Celebration

So we've been telling Brynn for a while that when she goes on the potty -  the big deal on the potty if you know what I mean - Daddy would take her to Dairy Queen for ice cream. I haven't really been pushing the potty business because we have plenty of other things going on right now but she's been doing great just doing it all by herself during the day. Sunday night she went in their on her own and went potty! Yay - everyone was excited of course because we were getting blizzards! (or Dilly Bars for the girls). Brooklyn couldn't hold her excitement in and decided to tackle her . Notice the cat is caught in the middle of the WWF match as well!

Our little Jack-O-Lantern (that's what her teeth remind us of!) LOVED her dilly bar and devoured it before Brynn was even done with a 1/4 of hers!

This is GREAT!!!

A Busy Week...

The girls were a little under the weather this week so instead of going out to play with friends, we stayed home and found ways to keep us busy. We did Valentine's...

Made some cutout cookies and Brooklyn loved being able to lick the beaters for the first time!

Carefully putting them on the tray...

We painted their names to decorate their rooms. This was fun (haha!) and gave me a great reason to clean our floor AND the girls!

By the end, I'm pretty sure Brooklyn had more on her than the 2 paintings combined!

The finished products!

We got around to actually decorating the cookies a few days later...

Brynn's favorite color by far is BLUE - or "boo" as she says it! So of course, we had to make blue cookies!

Brooklyn loves to walk around with these huge backpacks that are 1/2 the size of her! One's a frog and the other is a big hairy dog... this night she wanted BOTH on her at the same time! Crazy kid...

Brynn and I played a game practicing with her colors using pom poms, magnets and a cookie sheet. She knew ALL of her colors!

Great job girl!

We even had our own private rock band in the kitchen. I know you all wish you were here to hear that one!

Ta Da!!

It was a fun week and in addition to everything in the pictures, we even went out to lunch with Daddy at the Deer Valley airport and watched all the planes take off! Brynn has been wanting to go to the airport since Auntie Kristin left, so we finally did it (even though she really wanted to get ON one of the airplanes! I hope she's this excited when we actually do go in May!) We're all a little tired as well... Brynn, our perfect little sleeper, has become quite the little drama queen lately. When it's time for bed, something is always hurting now - her eyes, foot, today was her finger - and she wants me to lay down in her room with her. I've done it now for the past few nights, but need to quickly put a stop to this new little stage! I just love how she's trying so hard to talk and tell us what she needs - and I think she knows she has me wrapped around her finger! It doesn't help that when I do lay down next to her, she pats my head and kisses my forehead... she knows how to get me and I know, I'm a sucker, but I do need some sleep too so I'm coming up with a plan!

SURPRISE!!!

Auntie Col sent out a special package for Brynn... we had to wait for Daddy to get home to open it because it required some assembly. Brynn couldn't wait to open this one! It's a SCOOTER!!! She was so excited... the look on her face tells it all!

She had her helmet on before Daddy was even finished putting it together. As soon as it was ready, out the front door she went. She knew exactly what to do with it!!

This is one happy girl - she loves her scooter! Can't believe Auntie Col found this Disney Scooter BRAND NEW all wrapped in the packaging still at the Goodwill for $2!!!! I can't believe the things she finds there, but we sure have two lucky girls that love to get her goody boxes!!! XOXO
