A Few Pictures of Our Week

Yes, she's outside with bare feet and short sleeves! It's been so warm out here (not rubbing it in!) so we've been playing outside a lot. They love their new slide!

Action shot - Brynn was trying to have Brooklyn catch the ball before she slid down... doesn't look like it worked and Jack doesn't look impressed!

This is what happens when you give Brooklyn a piece of paper and markers. She draws her own smiley face!

and Brooklyn could probably eat 4 or 5 whole cucumbers at lunch if I let her... this is how she eats them. One bite out of each one. She finishes them before I have a chance to cut up more!

They love each other so much! I hope they never stop hugging each other!

In the past 2 nights, we've had one girl literally glowing blue from a glow stick... (can you guess who that was?). We shouldn't have been laughing but it was pretty funny when Bryce and I asked each other if we thought she ate any of it, we both said "turn off the lights" and then told her to "open her mouth and say ahhhh!" Haha, we were cracking up. and luckily she didn't eat any of it! She's a nut.

And then last night, we found Brynn like this! PUZZLE OVERLOAD!

Martin Luther King JR Day!

We celebrated Martin Luther King JR Day with one of our playgroups and had lots of fun (even though you can't really tell by the look on Brooky's face in this one!) We read a book, made special necklaces & did a little experiment with a white and brown egg so the kids could see that we're all the same on the inside even though we all look different on the outside.

Hmmm... don't even know what to say for this one! She's quite her own little person. Haha!

Beautiful Hike, Beautiful Day!

With the weather in the 70's and absolutely perfect, I've been wanting to get out and enjoy it. We went hiking today with our neighbor and had a great time. It was a great little place and right around the corner from our house, even better!

A Little Morning Yoga!

The girls and I have been doing yoga during the week - just a few poses a day but at least we get some stretching in! The cutest thing is when they do their deep breaths! They're really good! Here we've got "Double Down Dogs"

Happy New Year!!

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve at home with some drinks, lots of appetizers and our girls - what more could we ask for?! We had a cheese and cracker plate and this girl kept coming in for more. She was making "cracker sandwiches" - they must have been good!

Happy New Year to all of you! I've been so ready to ring in 2014. It's been a crazy year filled with many great moments but a year filled with some of the hardest days of my life as well. I am so fortunate to have the best family and some of the very best friends out there that have gotten me through some of these challenging times and I am forever grateful. I pray that this new year blesses each one of you with endless love, more laughter than tears, and happiness that overcomes any obstacles. XOXO

It's Time For a Big Girl Bed!!!

Brynn has been SO excited to get a big girl bed and today's the day! The truck is here!!

She plays with our neighbors from time to time and they have big girl beds so of course, she needed one too!

My New Camera!

Bryce got me a new camera for Christmas - like a REALLY nice camera! I have to read up on it to learn all the little features it has to offer but just pointing and shooting this is what the pictures look like! Even though their hair is a bit messy, the quality of these pictures is amazing!

I love my new camera and I love my family!!

A Very Merry Christmas!

SO TRUE!!! We went to bed so late the night before but I had to set my alarm for 5:30am because I did not want to take a chance on maybe the girls getting up before me. I couldn't wait to see their face!! 5:30am came really quick - got up, made coffee, got the camera and sat on the couch and waited, and waited and waited... figures the girls slept in that day. Brooklyn woke up first around 7:20am and Brynn didn't wake up until closer to 8am!!

As soon as Brooky got up, she pointed at all the presents under the tree and then spotted her slide. She ran so fast and kept going down - over and over again!

She also had a chance to break in Brynn's dollhouse before she woke up!

When Brynn woke up she was so happy to see that the stockings were stuffed. She kept saying, "Santa came!!"

Mid morning - while Bryce took some trash out - he came back and told the girls that there was something else in the backyard. We told them to close their eyes and once they opened them, the look on their face was priceless. They were SO HAPPY!!
