Fall Is In The Air...

The temperatures are starting to get cooler out here (like 95 degrees or so! Haha) - but the early mornings and nights do feel much better (in the high 70's). Brynn is SO excited about Halloween. Every day we get asked, "is it Halloween night?!" She can't wait! As soon as she saw pumpkins in the store, we had to get them. So - let the Halloween decorating begin!

Painting our pumpkins. We'll tackle the carved ones after we visit the pumpkin patches!

What was I thinking letting Brooklyn go at it?! She was very interested in the paint and every time I looked away, I'd catch her licking her pumpkin. What is her deal?!

Brynn painted hers all blue - of course. At least she did the other half white!

She was having a blast until...

I took her pumpkin away! She started using her hands to wipe off all the paint and then she proceeded to paint herself! I cut her off at that point!

Our finished pumpkins - pretty cute!

Today we went to Home Depot to buy some mums and make our house look festive. Grammy had sent Brynn a watering can she found in the shed and ever since then she's been wanting to water flowers. Here they are using shovels to loosen up the dirt.

This picture just makes me laugh because Brooklyn was all about the dirt. Brynn, on the other hand, did not want to get a speck of dirt on her or her hands and we all know that was impossible with Brooklyn standing right next to her. As they got into it, Brooklyn was not able to keep the dirt in the pot and some was landing on Brynn and getting on her dress. She was very concerned. I guess I'll have to get her a pair of gardening gloves soon! It's so funny how different they are!

They both loved the watering part!

Here's the girl in charge of the dirt!

I love Brynn's face here. She's like, "what are you doing?!"

as Brooklyn pours the dirt on top of the flowers!

Nothing that a little (or a lot) of water couldn't fix! The girls had fun and that's all that matters. - and our house looks nicer too!

I Have A Helper... & a GOOD One!

Brynn loves to help with folding the laundry and she's actually really good at it! Not sure where she got her skills from but she uses the "rolling" technique which I know many people use when traveling to keep the wrinkles away. Maybe she remembers from when Auntie Allison was here last time!

(Continued)

Just Some Fun Pictures...

Brynn got to come to work with me on a Saturday! She really did have fun & everyone loved seeing the new employee in training. She had enough after about an hour and a half and kept asking when Daddy was coming to pick her up! Good thing we had already arranged for her to be a part time employee that day!

Working tired her out and she actually fell asleep on me on the couch that night. I really wasn't sleeping here, although it would have been nice if I was!

The girls have been having so much fun with Daddy's remote control helicopter! Uncle Mike got them started on this the last time we were home. They love running around trying to catch it... and I think Daddy has just as much fun flying it! I love their expressions!

Didn't get a picture of this, but Brooklyn often carries around her little chair so she can stand on top of it and get a better chance of catching the helicopter! She's a smart one

Brynn is all about being a princess these days. I found a couple of dresses for the girls at Goodwill the other day and since then, this is what she wants to be for Halloween. So long witch (her original plan). She constantly wants me to dance with her and she loves to twirl around!

A princess snack - they look thrilled!

Brooklyn LOVES to dress herself - and undress. Notice anything wrong in this picture?! and there's no telling this one that she may have to switch her shorts around or maybe put her arms through the holes in her shirt. It's best to just let her do her thing!

Brynn usually has to have a snack before bed - probably a bad habit but it is what it is for now. I came back in her room to give her more water and this is how I found her... I was cracking up! Goofball!

BUBBLES!

She said BUBBLES!! She's been saying "Yes" and "Please" (very quietly and dainty like which is SO not her personality) since around the beginning of August. Today just out of the blue she said BUBBLES!!! Very exciting for all of us!

A CrAzY Girl in the Tub!

I know the bathtub is not the safest place to "slide" down the side of the tub - BUT - there is no stopping this girl and she clearly marches to the beat of her own drum. At times we just have to watch and laugh along with her... she's a NUT!

Off to the Circus!

This has been one of the worst week's of our lives (& I sure hope we're done with those for a while - we have had too many lately)... Because of all of this, this is also the first Sunday I've had off in a LONG time. We heard of a little circus in town yesterday and ended up being able to go today. We surprised the girls this am! Here they are closing their eyes waiting for their surprise!

Of course Brooklyn needs to peak once in a while!

CIRCUS TICKETS!!! Brooklyn's looking at Bryce like, "this is it? are you serious?!" Haha - Brynn was super excited and carried around her tickets all morning. (We had tickets to go to the circus back in June but never made it because my Dad had passed away the day before) ... so this was a treat!

Now they're excited!

There was so much to do! Pony rides... and these ponies walked pretty fast so it was hard to get a good pic. Brooklyn and Bryce are in the background. She wasn't too happy with her pony!

Elephant rides (at $10 a piece) - I don't think so!

Almost time to start!

Brooklyn was so funny! She was so into it and was really excited . She is straight faced here but was smiling, pointing and laughing during the entire show!

They had all the major circus things there - I was shocked since it was on a much smaller scale. TIGERS!

Tight Rope - yikes!

Puppies! The girls loved them

and COTTON CANDY!!! Brynn ate hers so dainty, one small piece at a time...

and then there's this one. She almost pulled the entire thing off the stick when we weren't looking.

She was in heaven. She was blue (& so were we) when we finally cut her off! Hope she can still nap :)

Time to go! (We only stayed until intermission but that was plenty for the girls - they didn't know we left early!)

The smiles on their faces made it all worth it.

These two can easily turn your frown upside down. We are so lucky!

Despite our unfortunate situations this week, we had a great day. It felt so good to get out and smile again. We know we are extremely blessed to have such a perfect family and we look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead for us. No matter what life throws our way, if we have each other we will be OK.

LOVE!!!

The girls were "doing dishes" together (I call it playing in the water but Brynn would argue!) and I saw them like this! So freaking cute! Sisters are the best gifts ever.

Here in AZ, We Never Sing, "Rain Rain Go Away" ... we wait for it and then play in it!

It rained so much (well at least for us!) the other week that it was so exciting for all of us. Out here when it's cloudy or rains people always say, "it's such a beautiful day outside!" It cracks me up because back in NJ - people would pray for the sunshine! I have to say... these days I love the clouds and rain as well. Brynn couldn't wait to put on her rain boots and use the umbrealla (notice the tag on it... we don't use it much!)

Cute Girls in Cute Little Rompers!

A friend of mine made these adorable rompers for the girls - they're so cute!! Brooklyn's becoming quite the little lady walking around the house with her purse, all her baby dolls, pushing the stroller while wearing her plastic dress up high heeled shoes! It's a sight to see :) ... and she loves to dress up these days in Brynn's clothes. I can see that becoming a problem as they get older!
