Bye Bye Baby Food!

Brooklyn decided all of a sudden that she was done with baby food. She wants to do everything herself and that includes eating so on Friday we gave her macaroni & cheese for the very first time. Here she is trying out her first bite...

and she loved it! After that, she dove in and tried a little bit of everything.

Jack is loving the fact that she's feeding herself as well. He is getting a lot of extra "snacks" now! She also had french toast, bananas and pizza of course! Oh, and some cat food. I'd say she had a pretty good weekend - except for the cat food!

She still gets her bottle before bed... if we can chase her around enough to get her to drink it. This girl is not like your typical baby letting you hold her and feed her. Nope, she has to be walking, playing and/or tormenting Brynn or Jack all while she's drinking her bottle.

She's a goofball and she knows it - we always get this smile after she knows she's being difficult!

Keeping Busy - Indoors

Both girls have been sick this week: Brooklyn first and now today Brynn is starting. With not really being able to get out of the house and Daddy being gone, it's been a long week for all of us. Today, I decided to do some arts & crafts with the girls. Since Brooklyn eats everything she gets her hands on, I gave her pudding to "paint" with. She had a blast, made Brynn laugh and Mommy got some much needed laughs!!

Not sure she understood the concept of putting the pudding on the paper and not her! At least she had fun and it gave me a reason to give her a bath. Hope they're back to their healthy selves soon!

Thursday - and Brooklyn's 9 Months!!

On Thursday we decided to have an adventure in the woods and go hiking. We ended up going 2 miles! Brynn walked some of the way and hitched a ride for the rest.

Brooklyn's 9 months today! I wish they wouldn't grow so fast.

A Surprise Visitor!

We found out the night before that my nephew and his son Jobie were coming to the beach for a couple of days! Brynn has met him once about a year ago and she was so excited to have a friend for the day!

They caught this fish... it seriously had wings, legs and barked like a dog - ugh. They threw it back but kind of scary knowing that's swimming around where we swim. Yikes.
