Brooklyn's Getting Big!...

She can lift up her head now and look around to make sure she's not missing anything!

Brooklyn had her 2 month checkup on February 21st. She weighs 11 lbs, 9 oz & is 22.5 inches long - she's grown a lot. The doctor said she's perfect and healthy! She's been sleeping little cat naps in the morning and then a long afternoon nap with Brynn until this week - she's pretty much been staying up all day, not sure why but at least even though she's up, she smiles a lot and loves to look at you and make faces - we love her so much!

Pop Pop & Auntie Colleen Come to Visit!

Having a chat with Pop Pop. We were talking about what kind of bird feeder to get at Home Depot - we're going today!

My new feeder! I'm going to be so busy now. I have to feed the dog & cat, change all my babies & bears and now - the birds! I hope this means extra corn pops for me - I love those!

I took Auntie Col's sunglasses and cell phone. If I sit quietly, I don't think she'll notice I've got them!

My first big outing of the week was to Home Depot. The 2nd outing?! A WIG store! My Auntie Colleen has always wanted a wig, so here we go... this should be interesting! Mommy tried on clip on bangs. They might not look too bad if they had the right color!

I just sat there taking it all in... I let those girls do their thing as long as they didn't put anything on my head!

An Update from Arizona...

Here's a little update on what we've been up to the past week.

Brynn has been enjoying going through her Valentine's - and she has lots of them! This is not even half, but it has kept her busy for days!

Brooklyn loves sleeping on her tummy! Ever since we started that last week, she's been doing so well. She takes at least 2 naps during the day (& I've been pretty lucky with getting both girls to sleep around the same time in the afternoon - at least for an hour or so) and she usually only wakes up once during the night, sometimes two. Not too bad!!

We've been sleeping in the living room since she was born but we're planning on moving back into the bedroom soon, as soon as we kick Jada out!

We've tried Brooklyn out in the bumbo seat a few times and she may still be just a bit small for it, but she seems to like it. Brynn let her borrow one of her teddy bear's to keep her company!

and when she's not happy, Brynn is right there to help her with the binky!

We started watching Sesame Street in the morning and Brynn really enjoys it. She has a few Big Bird books so after the show we read the books and she points out Big Bird, Elmo, etc...

Sometimes she watches while she eats her breakfast... and dances along in her highchair! She has even learned to tell us how old she is! When we ask her, she holds up one finger and gets so happy.

It's very difficult carrying Brynn to bed and getting her up these days. She probably weighs close to 27 pounds her so and add her 4 teddy bears, 2 babies and her butterfly pillow on top of that - well, we need to take a couple trips for sure! She has a lot of friends to keep her company. (That's probably why she doesn't mind hanging out in her crib just waiting for us to come and get her - she never makes a sound, except for turning on the music from time to time!)

Valentine's Day is a day to tell everyone who means so much to you just how much you love them. We all love you SOOOOOOOOOOO much and if you were here, you would get kisses too! The girls will save them up and give you lots of kisses the next time we see you. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! XOXOXO

Guess Who's 2 Months?!

Since I'm 2 months old now I'm going to start narrating my portion of the blog. Gotta keep things fair! So here I am, 2 months and growing fast! After a few bumpy weeks with belly pains, I'm feeling much better and smile all the time - especially at my sister Brynn. I'm even sleeping better now since Daddy & Mommy have been laying me on my belly. That back stuff is overrated. Things are going well and I'm a happy girl!

18 Month Dance Party Birthday Bash!!!

I'm officially a year and a half and although Mommy wants to cry because I'm getting so big, I'm having fun and I love being big! We had a lot of fun on my big day... it started out with a play date at my friend Riley's house.

Brooklyn came along too for the ride!

Me, Riley and her Mommy Jen - a love fest! We played all morning and had a picnic lunch complete with chocolate chip cookies! YUM!!

Then after our naps (well, MY nap - Brooklyn didn't sleep) it was time to get our groove on! Auntie Janice was coming over for a dance party to celebrate. I changed my clothes and was ready to boogie!

Mommy kept trying to put my 18 month sticker on, but I kept taking it off because it didn't match with my outfit. I didn't know that she put it on my back - SNEAKY!

Time to take a break in the shopping cart!

Time for cupcakes! Vegan banana cupcakes (since Mom can't have eggs or dairy) and they were dee-lish!! The icing was just the right amount of sweetness and had just the right amount of sugar to keep me going!

Here we go - sugar's kicking in!! 8:30pm and still going strong...

Check this out! We even got Auntie Janice to feed Brooklyn her bottle. She didn't do too badly for her first time. We're breaking her in slowly!!
