Daddy's Birthday Weekend in Seattle!

When we were landing in Seattle, we flew right next to Mount Ranier... pretty amazing!
Once our room was finally ready, I was so tired and did not want to sleep in the pack & play (it was too small!)... really I was just making noise so I could get out and sleep in this bed! Soooooooooo comfy. I found my spot, I wonder where Mom & Dad are going to sleep?!
When I woke up, we all went to a park down by Pike's Market so I could exercise my legs a bit. There were so many doggies and I just wanted to love them all!
There's another one!
Here I am with Mommy's phone... to all of you who received late night or early morning phone calls - consider yourselves lucky because I really love you!!
On Sunday, we went down to Pike's Market to spend the day there. There's so much to see, do and eat!
We picked up Starbucks at the original Starbucks built in 1912, got some delicious donuts & then sat down on one of the benches to eat them up! (of course, I didn't want to sit for long - I'm a girl on the move!)
One of the many flower stands at the market
This is the famous fish market. They throw fish around and have a really good time!
There goes a fish!! Can you see it?
Last stop of the day - ice cream! I love ice cream!
That night, we took the monorail over to the Space Needle to find some green grass for me to run around in. Mommy & Daddy quickly learned that I have a 20 minute limit to being strapped in my stroller. I prefer to run!
It was lots of fun and I got to wear a jacket for the first time since Christmas!
Monday, August 29th - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! We took my Dad to Sky City which is a restaurant at the very top of the Space Needle. It is 832 steps up from the ground, thank goodness they had an elevator!
We wanted to embarrass my Dad a little so this smoking sundae did the trick!! :) Make a wish!
After lunch I was ready to run so Daddy took Mommy and I to a special place that he knew of & I like what I see!
A huge fountain!! It's called International Fountain and I had so much fun here...
Mommy & Daddy had fun chasing me around too! "Let me go Dad, I can do it!"
Do you know why I walked all the way down here? If you zoom in you may be able to see... yep, another DOGGIE!
After the fountain fountain, we walked (I got pushed) to a sculpture garden down by the water. I liked picking up all the tiny rocks and putting them on the chairs...Back at the hotel - can you see me?!??!?!
Peek-a-boo!
One of the best things about our hotel was that the bathtub was as big as a swimming pool so I went swimming with my Mom every night!

I'm ONE Now... and with that comes a lot of new things!

My Auntie Colleen is teaching me how to use a spoon. Does she think I don't know how?!?!?
I can do it Auntie Col - watch me! After a few tries, I found my mouth - and my arm, my cheeks, my hair and hands! :)
Boy that pudding was good... how do I look? I like to show my teeth these days - I have 6 of them!! If you look closely, you may be able to see a few underneath the pudding.
Since I have 6 chompers, my doctor said it's time to start brushing. I know I don't look very happy here, but I'm doing it because my Mommy said so... (oh, I also bit my Mom the other day. I learned I'm not supposed to use my teeth for that!)
Here I am with my Grammy and my big girl car seat! Now I can keep an eye on the driver.
I'm really into my books now. This one I can take in the bath with me and I like to read it over and over and over again! Perfect way to end the day.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Sunday, August 7th... my PARTY DAY!
Little cupcakes for all of my friends and one BIG CUPCAKE all for me!!!
There were balloons everywhere...
Here comes my cake! I'm ONE!
I wasn't quite sure how to start with this thing, but I really liked the icing!
Now I'm getting the hang of it and everyone seemed to be enjoying what I was doing - so I continued!
and dug in more! Mmmmm - chocolate!
Uh oh, Mom didn't know how to get me out of my chair. I was one big cupcake and needed a bath - quick!
My cake... after I was finished doing my thing!
PRESENTS! I am one lucky girl!
What is in that great big bag?!
My first baby doll and stroller!
After everyone left, I pranced around the house carrying all of the gift bags. I had the best party ever!
Monday, August 8th - MY BIRTHDAY!! I put on my cupcake dress (which still had real cupcake on it) and danced around my balloons. I'm one today!
Daddy came home from work early and we all went to the splash pad at Desert Ridge (including my Grammy!) It was so fun - I even kissed a boy!
I love the water! Splash me more!!!
That night, we got ready to have another little birthday party at my house with my Mommy, Daddy and Grammy. I had hot dogs and green beans - yum!
While I was busy eating, Grammy and my Dad were busy in the other room setting up my surprise...
Wow - I got my first tent!! Now I guess I don't have to go in the dog cage anymore...
This is great!
Just had a bath and I'm in my new jammies - I am so happy and had the very best birthday ever! Can't wait til next year!!
