Last Day of 2011...

Already after only 2 weeks, Brooklyn can hold her head up and loves to look around. I used to like to do that too when I was little! She even picked her head up in the hospital on the very same day she was born... she wants to be like me because I did that too!
Mommy and Daddy let me hold her as long as I have a big pillow on my lap. I like to do everything that Mommy does. I've been really busy helping her with the diapers, dressing my baby, using the burp cloth and patting Brooke's back, putting on her lotion and so much more - it's a lot of work being a big sister!
I have so much to be happy about as we start a new year, 2012... 2011 was great because my baby sister was born, but 2012 will be even better because I'll get to watch her grow up and then hopefully soon we can play together in my tent!! I love baby Brooklyn and I love being a big sister!!

A Few Firsts...

2 Weeks Already! Time is going by so fast... Of course we did a photo shoot in front of the tree. Check out Brooklyn's feet - they're so big! I think she could fit in Mommy's shoes soon. Mommy always said that she had pointy "elf" feet while she was growing inside of her... I guess she was right!
Brooklyn cooperated for the most part but then she stuck her tongue out at Mommy! I better have a talk with her and let her know that these pictures are not going away and to make things easier, she just better smile big!
To celebrate her 2 week milestone, Mommy & Daddy decided to give her a bath. It was a little overdue, but they've had lots of stuff going on... and Brooklyn didn't stink too bad :) It wasn't much of a celebration for her - she screamed and screamed and screamed! Good things she's not a fish!
Yikes, she is not a happy camper...
Her & Mommy finally made up after a while, but NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT mess with Brooke before, during or after her bath. Oh, and earplugs would be a nice addition!

Holy Presents!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
This is our tree after Santa came and before I woke up - look how many presents!!!!
WOW! Santa brought me my very own pink cozy coupe... how did he know I wanted that?! I was so happy. I love you Santa!
Keep on pushing me Papa!
Nana & Papa got me a beanbag chair to sit in while I read. It can also be used as a giant pillow while I run and jump on it!
Merry First Christmas Baby Brooklyn! Wake up!!!
What is in this huge box?! I can't even see! Oh - Mom said it's a potty for me (whatever that means!)
If this is what having a potty seat is all about, I got it... piece of cake! Bring on the potty!
Check it out... the house is a disaster, it's dark outside and I'm still going at it!
Whew, Christmas is exhausting! Look at me, I didn't even get dressed today... I also made Christmas last for 2 days! Thank you everyone for all of my presents - I love them ALL!!! I have so much to play with now and wear, I don't even know where to start! Love you all! XOXO

Santa and Me!

I went to see Santa today and after I got all dressed up, I was very excited. I couldn't wait to tell Santa everything I wanted for Christmas. It's only a few days away so I needed to get there today! We did a quick photo shoot before leaving and I posed in front of the tree. I gave Mommy, Nana & Papa a good 30 seconds to snap away and then I was out - time to go... Santa's waiting! Once I saw the big man in the red suit, I froze up. I couldn't move and wasn't sure what to do. I cried at the very end, I just couldn't help it. I hope Santa knows everything that I want. I have a big list, I just couldn't spit it out! I'm sure he knows that I've been a very good girl all year - I even blew him a kiss and waved goodbye before we left. (I had to butter him up just a bit!) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Brooklyn's First Week

Brooklyn's had a busy first week. First, check out her hair. She didn't quite acquire the mullet like me but she still has a lot of hair. I'll share my bows with her - thanks to my Auntie Janice, we have a ton! She got to meet her Papa... and her Nana... and of course, there was a photo shoot. Mom has to make sure she has just as many pictures as I do! One week young already! That went by fast, 68 more weeks and she'll be my age! After all those pictures, she's pooped!

December 15, 2011 - Brooklyn Comes Home!

Before we brought Brooke home, I had to make sure that her new chair and car seat were comfy enough for her. Yep, they sure are! Here's Brooklyn right before they left the hospital. She loved her fuzzy onesie! First car ride... She's home!! I am so happy to have a sister! I've been helping Mommy & Daddy a lot - I get Brooke's binky, diapers & wipes for Mommy and take all of the dirty diapers to the garbage. I've been VERY busy but it's fun taking care of her.! She looks comfy! I think she likes it here... I love her!

Today's the Day! Happy Birthday Brooklyn Jean!!

On December 13, 2011 at 12:09pm my sister Brooklyn Jean decided to come and meet us! She wasn't too happy when she had to get weighed, but things got better quickly... She smiled when she met our Mommy for the first time... and she really liked it when she got her new Christmas hat! I went to the hospital with Nana & Papa early the next morning and I was so excited to meet my sister! I love her so much. Little Brooklyn Jean... she is so tiny! Our new family of 4! I know where her mouth is, her eyes, ears, hair and everything! I can't wait to bring her home...

I'm Celebrating 16 Months the Right Way - Making COOKIES!!!

Mom & Nana gave me a quick crash course on Christmas cookie cutouts. First we roll the dough and then we press the cookie cutters down in the dough. I added one extra step and pressed my fingers in the middle of each cookie...
Transfer the cookie to the tray...
Pat it down... (an extra step I added as well)
Looking good!
This is great. Just call me a mini Suzie Homemaker!
Wow - this dough stuff is pretty good!
Are they done yet?!
Sprinkles! Do I put these on the cookies or right in my mouth?
I dipped them right in the icing! Seemed to work well until my sprinkle shaker got clogged...
I couldn't wait to lick the plate. Didn't want to waste a bit of these delicious things!
If this is what being 16 months is all about - I LOVE it! HEAVEN :)
What do you think? The right side is mine!
