Brooky's 1st Haircut!

Before haircut...

I knew this was going to happen! As soon as we walked in and they said her name, she started crying. I had to laugh because it was pretty funny after all. The one that makes me sometimes feel like I want to cry many times throughout the day is afraid of getting her haircut. I will be sure to save this picture for years down the road!!

She didn't cry for too long and it wasn't anything a lollipop and a Dumbo movie couldn't fix.

I was trying to get a picture of the pretty braid that she got along with princess sparkles, but she was mad and wouldn't look at me!

This is what happens after Brooky uses the potty without us knowing... she's so neat. :-)

Happy 4th of July!!!

We found a little neighborhood parade in the Arcadia District - it was perfect! Started at 8am so everyone looks a little sleepy (even though we've been up since 5:30am!)

It's starting! It was a great, cloudy day today as well. We had our first dust storm last night which brought in lots of humidity - but clouds as well so that's a nice break!

It was such a cute parade - only about 20 minutes - but lots of dogs, kids, bikes and CANDY!!!

Brynn loved running to get as much candy as she could.

Trying to get a picture of these two girls is not an easy task. This was the best of my efforts!

Back home, they blew some bubbles that they got from the parade.

They're outfits were so cute - thanks Nana and Papa!

Playing hide and go seek in the bushes! The rest of the day we're going to play in the pool, grill and relax (hopefully!)... maybe there will be more pictures to come!

First Step Towards a Big Girl Bed!

So this little one has been climbing out of her crib for quite some time now - visiting us at all hours in the morning! We decided to take the rail off on Sunday. We were hesitant because we were thinking that she would take that as an opportunity to just not go to bed - BUT, we've been pleasantly surprised! She has stayed in her "new" bed all night long. Still gets up around 5:30am but we're getting used to that!

YAY!

The Greatest Show on Earth

We surprised the girls and took them to the circus last Friday! Our neighbors were going as well, so that was an extra bonus for the girls.

Brooky is so into the elephants so they had this one that you could get your picture with, but of course she got all camera shy when it was actually her turn! Both her and Brynn were sitting on top of it, but the lady who was taking the picture was trying to actually pose them and once Brooky caught on to her plan - she was out! This was the best we could do!

We had lots of fun - and great seats again for next to nothing (thanks to a friend)!
