Johnson Family Pumpkin Patch - And... It's FREE!!!

Yesterday was one of those weird days... I decided to go on a cleaning spree in the morning and chose our wedding music to listen to while we were busy working because I love all of the songs we chose. I guess that wasn't the smartest choice because I pretty much cried all day - I was really missing my Dad yesterday. Despite the tears, we still cleaned the house but every thing after that was really annoying me. Including the Arizona Pumpkin Patches. We took the girls to a pumpkin patch last week when Col was here but it was getting dark so we didn't get any pumpkin pictures. We were thinking of bringing them to another one to actually get our pumpkins, take pics, etc... and they all charge so much money JUST to get in! UGH. The one last week was $9/person and this other one was going to be $10/person & that's just to get in. Not sure why that really annoys me, but it does. That means if we went to both places, we would have paid close to $100 to step on their dirt. SOOOOOOOOO.... I am boycotting the AZ Pumpkin Patches this year and we made our own!

TARGET here we come!!! $1.99 pumpkins = perfect!!

Brooklyn had to feel them all to see if they met her expectations...

and then they decided they wanted the little ones - I love their faces!

So we got 5 pumpkins and got to swing on the cart like monkey's - all for $12!

And then we made our own pumpkin patch in our own backyard. Haha - they looked really thrilled with me here and not very impressed with our pumpkin patch!

Then they got more into it here and started to think that our pumpkin patch was pretty cool!

and our pumpkin day was complete with a wagon ride (borrowed from our neighbor). They don't look happy here but I can tell you that we went down every street in our neighborhood and they still didn't want to come home!

Today is a much better day, AND I was able to listen to our music again with no tears and we danced like princesses instead! I know that made Pop Pop smile!

Balloon Spooktacular!

This past Saturday we headed to Scottsdale for Balloon Spooktacular! We had lots of fun but it was definitely better when we first got there. We got there right at 5pm when it opened and by 5:30pm the mass crowd of people started rolling in! I've never seen so many people in one spot! The only bummer was that we wish there were more balloons blown up right at 5pm. We left at 6:45pm and they were still blowing up balloons. Most of the kids were in costumes and there was trick-or-treating from balloon to balloon.

There were also many fun slides, bounce houses and games!

They're starting to blow them up! The girls really liked watching that happen.

Two sisters racing against each other in the obstacle course. Brynn was helping her sister out whenever needed - so cute!

Now they're starting to "glow"

They even had a few that looked like bumblebees

Time to trick-or-treat. They weren't too excited about getting so close to the balloons. Brynn must have told us 100 times on the way home that the balloons were loud and she didn't like it. Brooklyn cried the entire time we were trick-or-treating so 3 balloons were plenty!

A Halloween Preview!

Adding spider webs outside - spiders too!

They each had a turn on the ladder with Auntie. Col's brave!

It looks great! I'll get another picture of the whole house on Halloween

Playring ring around the rosie!

And of course, we had to have a princess dance party - Mommy & Auntie included! Poor Bryce, this was right as the World Series was starting... we kept it quick!

Halloween preview!

The Sleepover

Brynn wasn't going to let Auntie get away without a sleepover in her room... she was so excited to tuck her in and make sure she had plenty of blankets, pillows & "friends"...

Here's the 2 of them less than 10 minutes later! LOL

Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday we headed to a pumpkin patch...

This little goat escaped and was just wandering around until it started charging at Auntie. She got so scared she lost her sweater. We think the goat's wearing it!

The bounce pillow! Brynn remembered this from last year.

Auntie showing off!

Brooklyn had a blast. She could barely stand up but also couldn't stop giggling!

It looks like Brynn took a bad fall here but really she's doing somersaults!

Sliding down the barrel - this was a hit. AND it went fast!!!

Of course Brooklyn was in heaven...

"Let's do it again!"

The Tolmachoff Farm Family

So fun to have Auntie here with us!

It's Great To Be 38!

I had such a special birthday and thank you to all of you for making it such a great day! It started off with coffee made for me (which is always a great way to start the day!)...

Surprise flowers!

and then hearing the doorbell ring and seeing my sister Colleen on the other side!!!! She flew all the way from Philadelphia to surprise us - and we were definitely surprised!!!

Brynn doing her cheerleader dance - she's so excited Auntie is here!

Nice form!

Then there was cake and presents! Brynn had her eye on Mommy's presents and Brooklyn took advantage of that situation and dug into Brynn's cake!

Making a BIG wish!!!
